The full papers submitted to the 4th International Symposium on Automotive Science and Technology are subjected to the following evaluation processes. Scientific ethical principles and rules are followed in the paper evaluation processes and the papers are subjected to peer review.



Preliminary Evaluation


Papers submitted to the 4th International Symposium on Automotive Science and Technology are first examined formally. Papers organized in accordance with the spelling rules are forwarded to the relevant editor.

Editor Evaluation


The editor reviews the papers in terms of originality, language usage, suitability to the scope of the Symposium and other scientific aspects. As a result of this review, the necessary corrections, if any, are made by the author(s) and the scientific refereeing process of the papers found appropriate is initiated.

Referee Evaluation


All papers submitted to the 4th International Symposium on Automotive Science and Technology are subject to scientific refereeing processes. Papers for which the referee evaluation process is initiated are sent to at least two referees whose areas of expertise are appropriate for evaluation.
Referees carry out their evaluations in accordance with scientific principles and rules by following the referee evaluation form. Referees may accept or reject a paper or request corrections from the authors regarding the format and/or abstract. As a result of the referee evaluations, the corrections and/or suggestions requested by the referees are forwarded to the author(s) and the relevant changes are requested to be made. If the referee(s) wish to re-evaluate after the corrections, the updated files are forwarded to the referees. If the referee(s) have left the realization of the corrections to the editor's decision, the referee reports and files are reviewed by the editor.

Final Evaluation and Decision


Referee reports and opinions are analyzed by the editors and the paper is accepted or rejected. At least two positive referee reports are required for a paper to be accepted and at least two negative referee reports are required for a paper to be rejected.
